National Print Awards 2015

National Print Awards 2015

This year Docmaster to decided to enter the National Print Awards 2015 with an entry that is particularly special to the team.

This is not the first time we have entered the Awards and definitely won’t be the last. We have been successful in the past winning Gold in Annual Reports and Bronze in Self Promotion categories, just to name a few.

This year we have entered the same book in two categories, Limited Edition and the Booklet category. Our entry is the Fashion Design Studio Graduation 2014 book. Two of our staff members Stephanie and Candi are in this book as they graduated with their Advanced Diploma of Fashion Design last year.
It features a double page spread of each student’s final range. The book has been printed on a silk paper stock. The cover lists the student’s names continuously throughout and has been printed in a spot gloss.

Check out some of the pictures and stay tuned on our social media for updates. Instagram - @northernbeachesprinting Twitter - @NBPrinting Facebook - https://www.facebook.com/pages/Northern-Beaches-Printing/624108040999050?ref=bookmarks

Duke's Day 2015

Duke's Day 2015

Docmaster and Northern Beaches Printing were proud to support the 2015 Duke’s Day.

Duke's Day is a day to honour & revere the father of surfing in Australia - Duke Kahanamoku. It is a day to raise awareness, kindness and living in harmony with the coastal environment much in the way of Duke's philosophy.

We worked closely with one of the coordinators on the design, printing and finishing for the Duke’s Day Dinner program that was held on Thursday night 08-01-15. It was very exciting to be a part of this great event.

3 Ways Print Marketing Outshines Digital Marketing

3 Ways Print Marketing Outshines Digital Marketing

Have you heard that print marketing is dead? It is assumed that consumers don’t respond to it anymore, that it’s too expensive, and that you can’t personalize it which are all false. It’s a common misconception that print marketing is dead and gone; in fact, it’s thriving. Sure, it’s not the same as it was but it has changed and evolved with the times.

Modern marketing techniques tend to centre on digital channels. However, don’t forget about the many uses and benefits of print marketing. There are many ways that you can use print marketing to best serve the needs and goals of your company. Digital marketing does not always surpass print marketing. Print marketing can provide three distinct advantages, where digital marketing has trouble competing.

Small Businesses Have An Advantage

Small businesses are vital to the success of a community. It is becoming more and more popular to show your support for small businesses. Networking with other small businesses is important and a great way to do this is through print marketing options such as brochures, posters, flyers, postcards, and catalogues. Networking with print marketing materials can be accomplished in various ways, such as:
* Promoting your products or services by dropping off print marketing materials to other local businesses and vice versa.
* Setting up a booth at a local event and hand out print marketing materials or samples.
* Using direct mail to be sent to local residents who are in your target market.

A Direct Mail Marketing Campaign Timeline Dissected

A Direct Mail Marketing Campaign Timeline Dissected

Choosing the timeframe for your direct mail marketing campaign is half the battle. The timeframe should be discussed in the beginning stages of a promotion, and considerations should include the scope of the campaign, number of mailings, budget, and what kind of print production will be involved.

The amount of time each stage of the process takes will differ by company and change over time. On average, the beginning stage may take a couple of days, and the preparation and printing process may take a week or two. After the date of inception, market research involves choosing the target market and budgeting. The mailing list should be vetted and, if previously used, exclude any names that don’t wish to be contacted. If you use a company for lists, give the company a heads up in the beginning of your campaign setup so they will have time to gather the appropriate list before your mailing date.
